Originally from Camarillo, Greg was a die-hard surfer throughout high school and college. Greg was introduced to the beach volleyball game in 1990 by Kathy Hanley and Kathy Gregory, then spent many years competing in the CBVA beach volleyball events where he earned his "AA" rating, and also played indoors for City League.

Greg has coached high school girls volleyball including over six years at Dos Pueblos High, and two years assisting boys varsity at Santa Barbara High. Greg completed his run at DPHS as the Girls Varsity Assistant coach, where his team won the CIF championship. In previous seasons, his JV teams won 5 tournaments in a row over 2 years.

Greg is in his 9th year with the Club, having coached at various age divisions for both Travel and Blenders teams, as well as at Club camps and clinics. Greg assisted the '08 14's team to earning a 15th place finish in the Open Division of Junior Olympics, as well as the '09 14-Blue team to taking 2nd at the SCVA JO Club Qualifier, earning a bid and finishing 23rd in the National Division of Junior Olympics! Greg's 2010 16-Smack team qualified for the Junior Nationals Open Division and placed 19th overall!

Greg works full-time, and on the side as the Club's graphic designer, photographer and webmaster. He also makes DVD musical slide shows for special events! Greg also enjoys teaching BEACH DOUBLES LESSONS during the summer.
