Each
year the Club works hard to amass funds to provide financial support for those players in financial need by soliciting
corporate sponsorships and private donations. Financial Aid awards are also made possible in part by the generous grants
provided over the seasons by the following:
Santa
Barbara Foundation,
George B. Page Foundation,
The Orfalea Fund, Orfalea Family Foundation, Morgan
Stanley Foundation,
First American Title Company,
The Nugget Restaurant
The
Financial Aid Fund allows the Club to implement our mission
statement, which promises "to promote women's volleyball
throughout the Santa Barbara community and to make every effort
to achieve economic and ethnic diversity within the Club."
The Club makes every attempt to provide those in
need with some financial support. The
Club's Financial Aid Committee distributes the monies
raised each year to as many eligible families as possible.
In so doing, the Club finds it necessary to generally provide only partial
award amounts toward total base program fees (travel costs are not covered). Only in rare circumstances
is the Club able to offer full support.
The
following factors are considered to determine who is qualified
to receive financial aid:

2. Seniority in the Club
3. Number of Siblings Currently Playing in the Club
FINANCIAL AID REQUEST
PROCESS:
1.
Download and Complete the Financial Aid Request Form. FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION
2. Attach
a complete copy of the previous year's tax return, from both
parents, and all other pertinent information.Financial Aid Requests will not be accepted without this.
3. Include Financial Aid Request Form in a separate, sealed
envelope: Attention FA Committee, WITH your Application for the Travel Team or Blenders Programs.
All information is kept confidential by the members of the Financial Aid Committee. The Financial Aid Committee will review all requests and determine who will receive financial support awards and the amount to be awarded to each, and will notify Applicant prior to the due date of the first installment payment of the Club program fees.
