INDOOR VOLLEYBALL
Michelle "Mimi" Cuttrell of the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club's 16-Elite team was selected to compete in Croatia for the Global SCVA Junior Red team helping her team win a gold medal [deleted].
USA INTERNATIONAL TRYOUTS: Eve Ettinger, Aly Squires and Samantha Wopat of the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club's 15-Elite team were selected for USA International Junior teams attending tryouts throughout the United States.
Fifty girls trained for four days with the U.S. Youth A2 National Training Team before getting assigned to their respective teams and competing in a four-day tournament at the Arizona Convention Center.
Santa Barbara High's Ettinger and Dos Pueblos' Wopat were placed on the USA Girls Youth White team which took second to Peru in the silver bracket. Santa Ynez's Squires played for the USA Girls Youth Blue which placed four in the silver bracket.
Paige Craine, also of the 15-Elite team, was selected for the SCVA Youth Red team. The squad practiced in Anaheim and competed in the Girl's International Youth Division in Arizona, winning the bronze bracket.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Dillan Bennett and Jordan Dyer from Dos Pueblos High captured the boys 18-and-unders at the East Beach Quicksilver Youth Tour event on Tuesday, earning an automatic entry with other division winners to the California Cup in Manhattan Beach later this month.
Dylan Hanseth and Miles Evans of Santa Barbara High were second.
Alex Biedul and Jacob Badish won the 16-and-under boys, Gavin
Trudeau- Sean Reed were second and the teams of Alec Schlossman- Eric Ensing and Casey Slaught-Gabriel Burdick tied for third.
Carl Mendoza- Hart Pitcher won the 14s, Ian Robertson-Ian Narine were second, and Nick Halamadaris- Jack Tardieu tied for third with Grady Lee-Ruben Carter Alford.
Tristan Fauntleroy-Cuyler Zimmerman won the 12s.
In the 18-and-under girls, Emily Rottman of Santa Barbara High and Sammie Brown of Dos Pueblos took second to a team from Santa Cruz.Mimi Cuttrell and Sarah Mendoza were third.
Sisters Sam and Carly Wopat won the girls 16s, followed by the teams of Dani Rottman-Nicki Brown and Mckenzie Scarborough-Lina Kleinschmidt.
Another sister combination, Tristan and Taylor Racich won the girls 14s, followed by Taylor Johnson-Makayla Johnson and Emma Craine-Katie Spieler

Lizzy Tardieu-Allie Wheeler captured the girls 12s, with Olivia Zelon-Harper Goldfarb placing second.
