VOLLEYBALL

Four teams from Santa Barbara Volleyball Club will be representing the Southern California Region at the National Junior Olympic tournament in Dallas during the first week of July.

Due to their high ranking within the Southern California regions, the club's 16-Elite and 18-Elite teams earned a berth to Junior Olympics by receiving regional bids. The 18-Elite, ranked fifth overall in Southern California's 18s division, received a National Bid, and the 16-Elite, ranked 10th overall in the 16s Division, received an American Bid.

In the last regional mandatory action over the weekend, the 14-1 team tied for first in pool play at 2-1. The 14-2 team won its pool, going 3-0, while the 13-1 team finished third in pool and the 12-1 team fourth.
