The 1st day was the best we played as a team all year long. We played with a lot of energy and passion throughout the day. Every single person played a huge role in the success of the day. The 2nd day was also a great day for the team. We carried the momentum that we got from the day before into the pool on Sunday and played 3 very inspired matches. Even though we ended the day with a tough loss I could not ask any more from the girls all day long. Vanessa Shaw deserves special mention from this tournament - as a senior, she led our team not only this weekend but throughout the season with her actions and her words.

We played great volleyball this weekend at a very high level. Every game played could have gone either way... Hadley Simmons played the best I have ever seen her. She is really coming into her own and becoming a great volleyball player. Kristen Kuntz set well the whole weekend without setting foot on the side line. I am very proud of them and cannot wait for the Festival in Reno.

The team had to come together this weekend even more than any other weekend because we had a couple of players playing in positions that they were not used to playing. The team played with lots of energy and passion throughout the weekend. This weekend would not have been this successful if everybody on the team did not help each other out on the court. Everybody had to step up their game and they did.

We started Sunday's play a little flat and lost our first match to Saddleback but rebounded and won our next two matches. We beat Point West and Club West in the playoff rounds, and the sweet ending was our victorious rematch against Saddleback in the finals. Torrie Armstrong did a great job of serving and hitting, Jordan Fuller provided consistent hitting on the outside and Rosie Lewis had major breakthroughs in her setting. This team is fun to coach because they continue to improve in every match they play.

Team played hard Saturday and Sunday.  We played our best defense as a team this weekend. Paige Craine had a great weekend setting overall. I think our team in ready for Junior Olympics. There will be no easy matches for us so we need to be prepared metally and physically.

Although the players at times played some of their best volleyball all season, we couldn't pull out a win. All our matches were tight, going to 3 games. We did beat the one team in our pool that ended up winning the finals of our bracket! Despite the win/loss record, the weekend was a a good overnight experience to spend together as a team and an enjoyable way to end our season!

We beat Sports Shack 14-1, then defeated Kern River to advance to the finals bracket! Page Hawkins had an especially outstanding tournament.

We had an awesome, undefeated Tournament. We went 6-0 in pool play then went on to win two playoff matches to win the tournament. With only 8 players competing this weekend, everyone contributed to our success.
Lina Kleinschmidt and Fionna Jessup were the best middles in the gym, with consistent hitting and blocking. Iris Campbell had solid passing, serving and defensive. Nicole Tetherow stepped up big, hitting strong on the outside and playing great defense. Hayley Fuller hit consistently all weekend coming up with some big plays at critical times. Emma Craine and Laura Masho made smart setting choices and ran a very smooth offense. Emma Craine went on a 12 point serving run the first day which was incredible. Katie Spieler put on a show all weekend long which impressed anyone . She is a true leader and steps up big whenever needed. It was a great weekend for our team, and they should alll be so proud of themselves!
