The 14-1 team played the best volleyball this season beating Laguna!  It was exciting to see the team play at this level.  Lauren Capritto, Katy Villanueva and Cheyenne Godinez all had a solid performance for us.

Won pool for the fourth straight tournament . Despite awesome play from the entire team, we lost the deciding match to move us up to Div 3. Every match over the day was exciting, and everyone took turns making key plays! Special mention goes to Alexis Ireland for providing strong serving and consistent passing, Kari Garcia on fire with her serving, digging and offense from the middle, and Katie Schuster providing a good blocking presence.

The team played well....just couldn’t close. Page Hawkins had an excellent performance, 16 straight serves in one match. Ana Dwyer had a good day all around, while Katherine Crook played well at the left side position.

Haley Fuller had an awesome day on the court, playing some excellent defense, and hitting very solid. McKenna Hogue was impressive in the middle, playing very aggressively, and hitting well all day. Fiona Jessup and Lina Kleinschmidt also were great in the middle, blocking well. Again, I could mention everyone because it was indeed a team effort!

We had some times of greatness and some times of weakness. We had a couple of people step up big time for us. Laura Penner was a ball of energy that we needed through out the day. She played in the middle as well as the right side. Caitlin Racich had the best hitting weekend of the year. She stayed very consistent throughout the day. We ended up working hard through the playoffs to stay in Division 2.

The team started out the day by losing the first two matches, but rather than giving up, they rallied and took a match from the undefeated team in the pool! Great way to end the day!! Setter Toni Capritto did a great job distributing the ball, while middles Nicole Berwager and Annie Varni did an excellent job hitting, and Jessica Ullemeyer provided some key blocks in the last match. Great defense from Nicole Tomasini and Macauley Grant, crucial digs by Ashley LaFavor, and tough serving by Hannah Simon contributed to our match win. Kelsey Scarborough made several kills from the outside, while Sarah Migliaccio provided consistent offense from both the left and right sides all day.
